NHL Playoffs: When is Blues vs. Sharks Game 5?
When is Game 5 between the St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks?
After an exciting Game 4 that saw the visiting St. Louis Blues beat the San Jose 6-3, Game 5 promises to be a pivotal game in the series as both teams have won two games in the best of seven Western Conference Finals. Considering how chippy the game got and how many post-whistle shenanigans that there were, Game 5 should feature both teams coming off with a ton of energy.
San Jose will have to account for their mistakes in Game 4. They were the clearly dominant team in Games 2 and 3 of the conference finals. San Jose has to get back to being that team. That all starts with their stars. Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, and Logan Couture did not have good games in Game 4. Their stars have to go back to being their stars and they have to play better in front of goaltender Martin Jones, who was pulled mercifully after the first four goals.
The Blues have a lot to be proud about in Game 4, but they still need to work on some things. They got a bit too caught up in trying to fight the Sharks in Game 4 and that gave San Jose a bit of momentum. That’s something that they shouldn’t be focusing on so hard in Game 5. Focus on winning the game.
Game 5 will be on Monday May 23 on NBC Sports Network beginning at 8:00 PM EST. It should be a great one, so be sure to tune in.
