2. Los Angeles Lakers

Heading into the 2015 NBA Draft, just about everyone thought the Los Angeles Lakers were going to draft Jahlil Okafor.

Instead, they took D’Angelo Russell and the rest was history. While Russell had a good rookie year for the Lakers and they have a top pick in this year’s draft, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get in on Okafor.

They have a market that would get behind him and they have the assets to make a deal with Philadelphia to get the job done. The big question is a matter of fit on the Lakers roster, but they’re going to need to address the center position this year.

Like the 76ers, the Lakers are going to have to make moves this offseason. They have a ton of cap space, the No. 2 pick in the draft and a bright future ahead of them.

When it comes to big trades, the Lakers are going to be in just about every conversation in the league. While they’re still waiting to bring the next big star in, buying a little lower on Okafor than a superstar could pay off in big dividends for them going forward as a team.
