What will be the speed limit on pit lane at the 2016 Monaco Grand Prix?

Formula 1 is home to the greatest drivers in the world and that means that on Sunday, a competitive atmosphere will be on hand at Circuit de Monaco. Every year, Monaco Grand Prix provides interesting challenges because of the difficult street course that the race is ran on.

While speeds are the name of the game in the series, there are still speed limits on pit lanes. During practice, speed limits on pit lane are 60 kph, while speeds for during the race are increased to the driver’s advantage at 80 kph.

Still, just like any series in racing, pit strategies can win or determine a race. That means making sure that all pit lane requirements are met and no speeding on the way to adjustments.

Races over history have been won and lost overall based on pit lane behavior and that will no doubt remain the same again on Sunday. Pit lane is where it really takes a crew to win, but none of that will even matter if a driver comes speeding down pit lane excessively.
