Indy 500 2016: Buddy Lazier loses a tire heading into the pits (Video)

Buddy Lazier had a lot of people on the internet cracking up when he lost a tire heading into the pits
So far on Sunday during the 2016 running of the Indianapolis 500, we’ve seen some pretty unfortunate incidents for some drivers. However, what happened to poor veteran Buddy Lazier is undoubtedly one of the worst.
Getting a late start to the race, joining the fold at Lap 47, Lazier was just looking to make a nice finish to the race. But that hope was lost late in the festivities when he was just trying to make it into the pits.
As Lazier was going in for his stop, one of his left tires suddenly came apart from the car, sending sparks flying all over the place and the tire right into the infield.
Just a horrible thing to happen to the 1996 winner of this race, but these small accidents will take place from time to time. It just makes it worse when it’s a race with the prestige of the Indianapolis 500.
But, credit to Lazier here, as he kept driving down the road there with the sparks from the missing tire all over the place, which quite frankly makes the visual that much funnier.
