Looking at what channel you can watch the 2016 Indy 500 on

There’s no time of year in racing and the world of motor sports than the weekend of the Indianapolis 500. The Indy 500 is one of the most lasting and time-honored traditions in American sports and the festivities, the traditions, and of course the race itself are always one of the most thrilling events in sports. And the 2016 Indy 500 is no exception to that—in fact it may be even more so the case considering that it’s the 100th running of the Indy 500.

For the 100th anniversary of the race, there is obviously a lot of excitement. Obviously none of the mainstays in the tradition of the Indy 500 are going to change, but there are also clearly going to be some extra additions to the ceremonies considering this running of the race’s place in history. It’s a monstrous day for racing fans.

In this running of the famed race, it’s looking like the race itself could be quite compelling as well. On one hand, you have someone like James Hinchcliffe winning the pole, but behind him are some of the legends of the sport when it comes to guys like Juan Pablo Montoya, Helio Castroneves, and many others. With all of this, fans aren’t wanting to miss a second of the action. To make sure that happens, they’ll need to know what channel the coverage is on.

Coverage for the race will be on ABC starting at 11 a.m. ET and the coverage will stay on ABC for the rest of the race, including when the green flag is set to drop at 12:17 p.m. ET.
