11. Draymond Green and Tyler, The Creator

Listen to Tyler, The Creator’s “Yonkers” and you’ll hear the musical embodiment of the chip hot glued to Draymond Green’s shoulder. “I’m a f—ing walking paradox” it opens.

Green, a tweener when entering the NBA has been re-defined as a renaissance man. Look at Tyler building his GOLF empire and you could use the same word to define him.

Tyler is straight out of the Kanye West school or rapping over his own beats and using obscure samples.  Whatever it takes to make it in this crazy world. “And while y’all are rolling doobies/ I be in my bedroom scoring movies” he raps in his crazed “Domo23.”

Tyler is the creator and ringleader of the Odd Future clan and can be found kicking it with A$SAP Rocky and various Odd Future alum. Like Green, Tyler’s the heart and soul of the group. It goes as he goes. When he gets crazy, the whole group is taken to another level. Everything he touches is equal parts F-you and grace, not unlike Draymond setting a hard screen and then gracefully rolling to the basket and finding an open Warriors shooter.

Draymond was a second round pick who can name every player taken before him in the NBA Draft. Tyler took the backdoor into the rap game and was underground and under-appreciated for a few years before getting his respect. Don’t tell either of them that they’ve earned your respect though, because its that angst that fuels them.
