Marquette. Henry Ellenson . 13. player. 66.
After grabbing Jakob Poeltl to shore up the center position, the Phoenix Suns find their Markieff Morris replacement at the back end of the lottery with Marquette’s Henry Ellenson. The 19-year-old is a strong rebounder who has the potential to space the floor on the offensive end.

As a freshman, he averaged 11.6 rebounds per 40 minutes with an impressive 24.2 percent defensive rebound rate. Ellenson has a lengthy 7-2.25 wingspan and his big frame helps him clear space on the defensive boards. He is also capable of occasionally pushing the ball up the floor after grabbing a rebound. Offensively, Ellenson is at his best playing from outside of the paint and using his face up game to beat opponents. While he shot just 28.8 percent from three last year, the belief is that he is a much better shooter than that small sample size suggests.

It’s not clear how Ellenson will translate defensively at the next level. He doesn’t play with the strength necessary to compete against opposing centers and his lateral mobility on the perimeter is questionable, but given the fluidity of some of his offensive movements, he may be able to improve that aspect of his game.
