Croatia. Ante Zizic . 21. player. 125.
The Atlanta Hawks once again put together a solid season only to be stifled by Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Now, the Hawks’ roster is in flux, and the situation at center is especially unclear. Al Horford is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so drafting some potential insurance (even if it just provides initial depth) could prove valuable for Atlanta.

Cibona Zagreb’s Ante Zizic fits the bill of a young center prospect who can develop into a quality NBA player. Offensively, Zizic plays with excellent energy and shines as a slasher and roll man. He is currently averaging 14.5 points per game across all competitions this season despite not having a refined post game or much of a jump shot.

Zizic’s energy is also valuable defensively, where he is able to act as a rim protector. At 6-11 with a 7-3 wingspan, he has plenty of size to contest shots in the NBA. He’ll need to work on his mobility along the perimeter in order to become a more well-rounded defensive big.

Even if Horford opts to re-sign with the Hawks, Zizic is a viable draft-and-stash option who could play for a few seasons overseas before coming over to the NBA.

To read more about Ante Zizic, <a href=.
