Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Wright State Raiders

The Ohio State Buckeyes had quite a good regular season in the Big Ten as they were one of the best teams in the conference for much of the year. However, they open up the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament in the Louisville Region against one of the potentially toughest No. 3 seeds out of any region in a Wright State Raiders team that only lost 15 games in the season, setting up a huge matchup on Friday at Jim Patterson Field.

Ohio State is led by several key players on their roster, chiefly the trio of Nick Sergakis at third base, Ronnie Dawson in the outfield, and Tanner Tully in the pitching rotation. However, Wright State obviously may not be the   same pedigree of program as the Buckeyes, but it’s hard to argue with their success this season. It’ll be fascinating to see how they fare as a mid-major in the NCAA Baseball Tournament starting off their run against such a high-profile program.

This first round NCAA Baseball Tournament game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and live streaming will be available on WatchESPN, which can be accessed online or through the ESPN app by logging in with a cable or satellite subscription.
