2016 Mock Draft: Simmons, Ingram, Bender still on top

Gonzaga. Domantas Sabonis . 15. player. 73. The Nuggets hold three 1st round picks in the 2016 draft — with their first pick in this mock they selected Buddy Hield and now they look to grab a talented, emotional big man in Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis has a blessed bloodline as his Father is legend Arvydas Sabonis and while Domantas isn’t the cerebral playmaker Arvydas was, he has his own certain set of skills. <p>The Nuggets have Kenneth Faried already and Sabonis is a bit in that mold as far as being a bruiser in the paint. Sabonis is a 6-10, 230 pound lefty who posted averages of 17.6 points and 11.8 rebounds for the Gonzaga Bulldogs last season. Sabonis — like his Father — has uncanny vision and passing ability out of the post and that’s just an added bonus to his offensive repertoire.</p> <p>Sabonis lack of shot-blocking abilities have him outside of the top-10 — he only notched 31 blocks in 36 games last season. If he showed any rim protection abilities, then Sabonis would easily be a top-10 pick and the Nuggets might have to use their No. 7 pick to nab a player his caliber.
