93. This is the Philadelphia 76ers’ second pick of three in this draft and after taking Ben Simmons No. 1 overall, Malik Beasley would be an amazing pick at No. 24. While Philadelphia does have some talented big man, outside shooting was a bit of an issue for them in 2015-16 and Beasley could immediately help shore that issue up.

Beasley is a one-and-done, 6-5 wing out of Florida State University who averaged 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 47 percent overall and nearly 39 percent from 3-point range. Beasley’s offensive abilities are his calling card right now, but the young prospect showed brief glimpses into his defensive abilities while in the NCAA ranks as well.

He could form his game into a “3 and D” model and he certainly has all of the necessary skills to do so. Philadelphia is under a new regime as Sam Hinkie was shown the door and fans can expect numerous changes heading into the 2016-17 season. If there are not minutes available for Beasley, the Sixers also have a D-League affiliate in the Delaware 87ers where he could continue to improve within their system, under the same schemes and lingo so that when they need him, he’s ready.
