Head Coach. Green Bay Packers. Mike McCarthy. 8. player. 49.

In a similar situation that Tomlin finds himself in with the Steelers, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy might be more on the hot seat than one might believe at first glance. While Green Bay has a great football culture like Pittsburgh, McCarthy’s Packers are too talented to not contend for a trip to the Super Bowl in 2016.

Green Bay boasts one of the NFL’s best rosters and has arguably the best pure passer in the game in franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Should Green Bay solidify its protection schemes for Rodgers, anything less than a trip to the NFC Championship would be a massively disappointing season for the Packers.

With the Chicago Bears still in the midst of a rebuild under second-year head coach John Fox and Jim Caldwell’s Detroit Lions somewhat in a bit of flux entering 2016, Green Bay really has only one obstacle in the NFC North in the Minnesota Vikings.

Will Green Bay make the NFC Playoffs in 2016? Absolutely, but not winning the NFC North for the second straight year with that deep of a roster, combined with another relatively early exit from the NFC Playoffs might turn up the heat on McCarthy’s seat. Unlike Pittsburgh, Green Bay would be more likely to pull the plug on a head coach that has underperformed.
