Rex Ryan. 7. player. 16. . Head Coach. Buffalo Bills

Though he has only been in Western New York for one NFL season and has done as good of a job of any head coach since Wade Phillips, 2016 is an important year for head coach Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills.

AFC East rival New England will have to begin the season without their start quarterback Tom Brady playing under center for the Patriots’ first four games because of the Deflategate Scandal that never seems to end.

Buffalo has a Pro Bowl quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, a dynamic backfield duo in LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams, a bevy of great receiving options, and on paper a defense that again could be top 10 caliber. There is enough talent in the AFC East to get two playoff teams into the 2016 AFC Playoffs this winter and the Bills will certainly have their opportunities to get there.

However, if the Bills’ pass rush doesn’t progress like it should under the blitz-heavy scheme of Ryan in 2016 and Buffalo’s offense takes a step back, the Pegula Family might grow weary of their chatterbox, defensive-minded head coach.

Ryan has proven from his time coaching the Jets that he can be a distraction with his larger-than-life press conference antics. The Bills haven’t made the AFC Playoffs since 1999 and the organization won’t be loyal to another head coach that simply can’t get it done with a roster that is good enough as is to play in January.
