The Los Angeles Dodgers have the highest payroll in the MLB at over $250 million. They continue to bring in players, young and old, to fill spots on their roster, and pay them a lot of money. It hasn’t mattered if they’re getting into their upper-30’s either, like when they brought in Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley.

Given the team’s underwhelming 34-32 start, maybe the Dodgers can look into bringing in Jose Reyes.

There is no chance of Reyes taking shortstop Corey Seager’s starting role, given the youngster’s storng play. That leaves second base, which Utley and Howie Kendrick have manned. They haven’t done much through the first 10 weeks of the season, though, especially Kendrick. Justin Turner has been a disappointment at third base too, especially with how well he hit in 2015.

If the Dodgers decided to bring in Reyes, they could mix and match at second and third base. Utley and Reyes could split time at second base, while Kendrick and Turner share the hot corner. It may not be an ideal situation and probably won’t solve many problems. However, with the pressure of the Dodgers management to win now, they could want some type of change to be made.
