5. Trade out of the lottery

As mentioned, this is not the most enticing draft. The Kings apparently have not been too thrilled with what they may see at pick number eight either and have already explored trading down. Honestly, that may be their best option.

Just because the Kings do not add someone with a top ten pick this year, does not mean they cannot bolster the roster through the draft. They can add multiple players and two teams stand out, the Celtics and the Nuggets that may be able to give the Kings a spark of depth.

The Nuggets hold picks number 15, and 19, as well as multiple second round picks. The Celtics have pick 16, 23, and second round picks that include number 31 and 35.

The Kings could land someone like Will Barton or RJ Hunter for scoring off of the bench as well as two mid first round picks for a pick they may not have wanted.

Who is to say that Jaylen Brown would be a better pick up than Dejounte Murray, Timothe Luwawu and Barton? The Kings have had a few misses in the past few drafts, but the idea of having more lottery tickets may give them better odds to hit on one of these.
