4. Jarrett Jack

One of the interesting wrinkles that has already developed with the Timberwolves this offseason is that their backcourt has become increasingly crowded after they drafted Kris Dunn and still have  Ricky Rubio on the roster. However, one thing that they could still use in that backcourt is a veteran presence to, if nothing else, sure up things in the locker room and help to bring Dunn along. Jarrett Jack would be a fantastic option in that regard.

For one, Jack is now available after being waived by the Brooklyn Nets right before the start of free agency. He’s coming off of a season-ending knee injury that’s a bit disconcerting in regards to his ability to come back at full health. However, that could be exactly what the Timberwolves need right now in their backcourt. They don’t necessarily need a player to come in and eat up a lot of minutes, but could use another mentor to the guards already on the roster.

Given that he’s coming off of waivers, Jack would also likely be a wholly affordable option for the Wolves in free agency. He’s a player that could fit into what they need from a backcourt signing in free agency and could really be a sneaky good play for Minnesota.
