NBA Free Agency 2016: Power Ranking Day 1 signings

The former Arizona product is gearing up for his fourth season, after spending the first three years with the Indiana Pacers.

For someone who was selected with the 23rd overall pick, Hill has been less than stellar to say the least. During his short career, Hill is averaging 6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

However, this could work for a couple of reasons.

Hills is only 26-years-old, so there’s plenty of room for potential growth down the line and he’s a hard-worker, which is always worth something.

Also, Hill had an impressive playoff series against the Toronto Raptors, in which he averaged 7.7 points per game on 45% shooting from the field in 28 minutes of action.

Nonetheless, Hill’s shooting woes could be very problematic for New Orleans, especially if sharpshooter Ryan Anderson decided to take his talents elsewhere.

Hill is only a career 32% shooter from distance.

All in all, this a very risky move by the Pelicans front office. Hill is a solid player, but for the price of $52 million over four years, I don’t like it at all.
