Wade could finally get paid what he feels he’s worth

The thinking Wade has been using over the past few seasons was that he’d take less money than he felt he deserved based on his past performance and loyalty to the Heat, with Pat Riley and company eventually coming through and taking care of him when the time arrived.

Only that time is here now, and Miami is still asking D-Wade to take less than market value.

That’s not a problem in Denver, where the Nuggets are reportedly offering $10 million more than the Heat over the next two seasons. Remember, no big stars, so there’s lots of money to spend.

The general public tends to frown on players who choose money as one of their primary factors in making a move, but let’s get real: If you felt you were underpaid for years and someone finally dangled a nice raise in front of you, wouldn’t you take it? You’re lying if you answer “no” too quickly.
