4. Houston Rockets

Mike D’Antoni is the new man in charge in Houston and with their free agent signings to date, it’s clear that the Houston Rockets are going to look to spread the ball out and score a ton of points on offense.

With James Harden leading the charge, the Rockets have gone out and signed Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson in free agency. Both of those players should help provide instant offense to the Rockets and give them plenty of punch on offense.

However, if they want another big forward that can stretch the floor and provide a little defense against the taller forwards in the league, acquiring Rudy Gay from the Sacramento Kings wouldn’t be a bad option.

The Rockets have the contracts to send back in a trade for Gay and Daryl Morey is savvy enough to find the assets to make a deal work. This would allow the Rockets to go small in some sets and really run a breakneck offense offense that D’Antoni wants to see on the floor.

The Rockets are going to be one of the most interesting teams to watch next season, but they’ve got a clear focus in mind and adding another scorer like Gay would help.
