The Chicago Tribune is not giving Dwyane Wade a welcome return home.

With Dwyane Wade spurning the Miami Heat and returning home to play for the Chicago Bulls, you would  think he would receive a hero’s welcome from everyone in Chicago. That was definitely the case for LeBron James in 2014 after he also left the Heat in free agency and returned home to Cleveland.

Though, the Chicago Tribune is not taking too kindly to the thought of Dwyane Wade returning home and suiting up for the Chicago Bulls. In today’s sports section, the Chicago Tribune decided to troll Dwyane Wade by headlining him as the Bulls “Plan A (ARP)”.

For those who don’t know, AARP stands for the American Association of Retired Persons, which is a membership organization that advocates for its senior citizens. So this is the Chicago Tribune essentially making fun of Wade’s age and all of the wear and tear on his body .

By the Chicago Tribune’s headline reading “Plan A (ARP)”, it is making fun of all the people who believe that Wade’s impending signing was a fantastic move for the Chicago Bulls. While the signing of Wade can be scoffed at not only for his old age, but it also can be ridiculed for his possible fit.

With Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler already on board, both ball dominant players, adding another player who needs the ball to be effective like Wade can be seen as a head scratching move, especially at this point in Wade’s career.
