Taking a look at the 10 best moments in the history of the MLB All-Star Game.

The 2016 MLB All-Star Game takes place next Tuesday at Petco Park in San Diego as the best players in Major League Baseball will meet up to decide home-field advantage for the World Series.

The rosters are set and feature some great talent on both sides. Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will be playing in his tenth and final All-Star Game, joining a long list of players who have played in the game during their final season in the league.

The All-Star Game has only decided home-field advantage in the World Series since 2003 after the 2002 game ended in a controversial tie. Such an event may not be much cause for concern in other sports, such as soccer, but it was such a big deal the MLB decided to make the game count for something other than just a spectacle for fans.

Even though the game’s outcome has only mattered since 2003, there have been countless moments throughout the history of the All-Star Game that baseball fans will always remember.

From the American League’s 4-2 victory in the 1933 game to last year’s 6-3 victory for the AL, the event has put the legends of the game on the field together, setting up the perfect venue for baseball magic to happen.

In honor of Tuesday’s All-Star Game, let’s take a look back at 10 of the most memorable moments from the history of the event.
