2. Detroit Tigers

Low and behold, the Detroit Tigers finally found a way to start hitting the baseball, and have positioned themselves directly in the playoff race in the American League.

After going out and improving all facets of their team in free agency, the Tigers are starting to see it pay dividends, and the team is playing their best baseball of the season.

With the roll that the Tigers are on and the fact that they are so close, they should look to make a trade and add another piece to their roster. Perhaps adding yet another bat to the lineup could do the team a lot of good as they set their sights for October.

They need to see every move that the Cleveland Indians have made and look to directly counter them as they prepare to do battle for the American League Central over the final two months of the season.

The good news is that the Tigers’ play as of late should have fans hopeful for the future, after the team suffered from a down year last year and a slow start to the season this year.

October has become a staple in Detroit for baseball, and making August moves to keep it one should be the top priority.
