3. Houston Astros

The Houston Astros were one of the best stories of the 2015 MLB season. The team that came over to the American League just a few years prior won a Wild Card game, and was within one win of eliminating the eventual World Series Champion Kansas City Royals.

This year, the Astros and all of their young talent got off to a slow start, but they have been coming on fast as of late, and are within striking distance of a potential Wild Card spot yet again — and maybe the A.L. West if the Texas Rangers come back down to earth.

The Astros should be carefully examining what’s on the waiver market and see if they can add a piece that helps put them back in the playoffs this season. However, with a team that has plenty of young talent like the Astros, they should only look to make a deal if it isn’t going to cost them in the future.

Perhaps another arm in the pen or the rotation could help do the team some good and solidify things for the rest of the year. They’re one of those teams that are right there, and should consider all the options that they have in front of them.
