Patrick Reed (10,900): Reed has had a solid summer despite not picking up a win yet this season on the PGA Tour.  He has finished runner-up twice this season most recently at the Valero Texas Open, but he has become a regular fixture in the top 15 over the last few months with four top-15’s in his last seven events including The Open Championship and the PGA Championship last week where he ended up t13.  Reed has missed the cut on the number the last two years at the Travelers since a t18 in 2013.

Matt Kuchar (10,600): Kuchar has been in excellent form lately in non-Majors. In the three Majors this summer he has gone t46 (U.S. Open), t46 (Open Championship), and MC (PGA), but in his non-Majors he has run off a string of six straight top tens including three third-place finishes at THE PLAYERS, the Byron Nelson, and the WGC-Bridgestone.  Kuchar has only played this event twice in the last seven years notching a top-10 (surprise) in 2012 and a t31 in 2014. This week isn’t a major so Kuchar makes a solid play.

Zach Johnson (10,200): Of the three players between 10K and 11K, Johnson is my favorite.  He has the perfect game for this kind of course and comes in with excellent form overall.  Johnson ran off top-15 finishes at the U.S. Open, WGC-Bridgestone, and The Open Championship before ending up t33 last week.  He has played this event ten times in his career with eight made cuts, five top-25’s, and a solo-sixth finish last year.  He definitely has the game to shine on a short track like this, so get him on your roster at this surprisingly affordable rate.
