5. Warriors vs. Thunder – February 11

Whenever a superstar spurns his team in favor of another, the ratings for the return game go through the roof. Although the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to have a very different feel to them, the first game in Oklahoma City with Kevin Durant returning is going to be huge. The fans are going to boo him mercilessly and Russell Westbrook is going to look to drop the greatest stat line in the history of the game.

Add in the fact that these two teams don’t like each other and it’s going to have all the drama. Emotion is going to be running abound and Durant will try his best to quell “Loud City” and lead the Warriors to a huge win on the road.

In terms of overall battles on the schedule this year, it might not be the best one, depending upon how much of a step back the Thunder take, but it should still be a very good game. The Thunder know how to give the Warriors fits even without Durant and there’s no doubt that this game should be a close one.

The only shame about this game that doesn’t make it the best is that it was scheduled so late. Had this occurred in December, the buzz might have been higher than what it will probably be. Still, everyone will be talking about the return of Durant when this game rolls around.
