4. Spurs vs. Warriors – October 25

For the past two years, the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors have always had this mythical matchup between them that has been expected to occur in the playoffs. Because of unforeseen circumstances, that battle has never happened.

Still, these teams have played in the regular season against each other and it’s one of the most anticipated games of the season every year. This year, the two teams will no waste time in doing battle with each other. The schedule makers have made it so that they play on opening night in Oakland.

With Tim Duncan retiring, Kevin Durant joining the Warriors and both teams making waves in the offseason, it should be a great battle between the two. It’s hard to say what the outcome will be, as it’s the first game of the year and neither team will be in a rhythm yet, but it’s a great way to start the year for the league.

At the end of the day, the real battle people want to see is these two in the playoffs. Everyone has been spurned the last two years, but perhaps this is the year it finally happens.
