Tyrell Williams-San Diego Chargers

If you’re looking for a deep sleeper to check out at the end of your fantasy football drafts, check out Tyrell Williams of the Chargers who brings us full circle in our potential breakout WR post back to San Diego where we started (with Keenan Allen). Williams is a second-year receiver out of Western Oregon who didn’t get drafted but has freakish athletic measurable.

Even with all the injuries to Chargers receiving corps last year,  Williams wasn’t give much of a role until the very end of the season.  He didn’t make a catch until week 17 when he hauled in two passes including a touchdown against the Broncos. However, he’s been seeing first-team reps in three-receiver sets this year and could be a big part of the Chargers plan of attack this season.

Williams missed out on  Week 1 of the NFL Preseason due to “leg tightness,” but it looks like he’s a big  part of the Chargers plans for this season.  With Stevie Johnson out for the year, I like Williams as a final-round flier.  Hopefully he stays off the radar enough to remain a deep sleeper, but he could be a breakout WR if he gets the reps this year in the Chargers pass-heavy scheme.
