6. Gabe Marks – Washington State

Juju Smith-Schuster isn’t the only top wide receiver in the Pac-12. In Pullman, Washington, Mike Leach likes to pass just about every play. Therefore, the school has become a wide receiver factory and a perfect place for young receivers to hone their craft. One of those receivers that has developed into a great wide receiver is Gabe Marks.

The great thing for Marks is that he’s going to have Luke Falk back at quarterback. Surprisingly, not too many of the top receivers in college football have their quarterbacks returning. That of course means other receivers are going to have a natural adjustment period.

This is the perfect season for Marks to strike, after coming off of a year with 104 catches and 15 touchdowns. Those numbers alone already made him one of the top wide receivers in the country. If he’s able to replicate that or even improve on those numbers, then he’ll be in the All-American conversation.

It’s hard to think of a better situation for a wide receiver in college football. It’s an offense that purely passes the football and they have a good young quarterback in Falk. Marks is going to have a monster season for the Cougars.
