Deshaun Watson . 2. player. 42.
Chip Kelly has been down this road before. He takes over a team and believes he can turn around the quarterbacks who are already on the roster. For a time that worked. He turned Nick Foles into a Pro Bowler in 2013. Still, the one thing Kelly has never had the opportunity to do is pick his own quarterback high in the draft.

Maybe there is a chance he can get something out of Blaine Gabbert or Colin Kaepernick. Given the state of the offense around them though, odds are that won’t be the case. Better for him and the organization for a fresh start in 2017 and there isn’t a better player they could hope for.

Deshaun Watson doesn’t win the size contest for quarterbacks but everything else about his game screams “playmaker.” He proved just how unstoppable he could be when he almost toyed with Alabama in the national championship game.

People will think he’s a run-first quarterback because of his exceptional athleticism and ability to scramble but that’s not the case. Watson can stand in the pocket and delivers passes with accuracy and touch. There is a poise and confidence about his game that star quarterbacks are made of. So imagine putting him in that fast-break offense Kelly loves to run.
. QB. Clemson
