3. San Diego Chargers

OT. Alabama. Cam Robinson . 3. player. 13.
The offseason hasn’t gone swimmingly for the San Diego Chargers as they continue to be unable in their efforts to lock up first-round pick Joey Bosa. If they somehow fail in this mission there is a strong chance they could be looking at pass rusher again in 2017. Still, for the time being one must assume the two sides will work out a deal.

In that case it’s the other front line they’ll want to focus on improving. Though good health and a new center may help things this year, the fact is the Chargers offensive line is underwhelming.

Their biggest weak point is left tackle King Dunlap. In addition to being an average blocker, he also missed nine games with injury last season. Given how little time the team has left of Philip Rivers in his prime, they can’t afford to put off finding an upgrade at that crucial position. Cam Robinson endured a lot of flak for his off-the-field problems these past few months but he has enough time to rehab his image before the draft.

Having another top notch season at Alabama would help. Not only is he long and light on his feet in pass protection, his massive frame shows up in the run game as well. When he’s playing his best, there isn’t a defender on the planet he can’t block.
