4. Something isn’t quite right with Clemson

The Clemson Tigers came into the 2016 season with expectations of getting back to the College Football Playoff and if everything went right, competing for a National Championship. Through two games, those plans are still on track. However, there is something that is just off about the Tigers right now.

The team struggled on the road against Auburn in Week 1 and it was chalked up to simply being a game in the first week. This week, the Tigers had their opportunity to just absolutely steamroll Troy at home and feel good about themselves, as they get ready for conference play. That didn’t happen either.

The Tigers barely escaped Troy at home and Deshaun Watson played arguably the worst game of his career thus far. Through two games, Watson has done nothing to show that he is in the lead for the Heisman this season. Clemson has also done nothing to show they are National Championship contenders.

Needless to say, the Tigers are finding themselves right now and this could be an advantage in the long run. Still, they can’t keep bringing these types of performances with them week in and week out. If they do, a better team is going to knock them off and end their chances at competing for a National Championship.
