Week 2 of the college football season and it’s time to overreact to what happened on the field.

On paper, Week 2 of the college football season was supposed to be the worst week of the season. The top schools scheduled smaller opponents and the games didn’t look too enticing. Instead, there were some upsets on hand and some moments that left everyone in disbelief. The week was also not without controversy, courtesy of Central Michigan and Oklahoma State. With a wild week in the books, it’s time to overreact to what happened on the field in college football this week.

After a big win over Notre Dame last week, the Texas Longhorns did what they needed to do on the field. They beat UTEP soundly this week and have two wins in non-conference play. While conference play has yet to begin in the Big 12, the Longhorns have to be feeling good about themselves.

Other teams in the conference are not feeling good about themselves at the moment. Oklahoma already has a loss on their plate and now they face the task of taking on Ohio State last week. The Oklahoma State Cowboys were robbed of a win against Central Michigan and TCU doesn’t look good at all.

If there was ever a year for the Longhorns to announce they were back in big fashion and take the conference by storm, it’s this season. They have the talent on the field to do it and they have the swagger. There’s no better way to return to prominence then by putting the rest of conference in their place.
