Benfica face Besiktas at the Estadio da Luz on Sept.13, 2016. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Benfica are undefeated in their first four league games of the season, winning three and drawing one, including a 201 away victory against Arouca this weekend. However, with the Champions League about to begin, they find themselves in the middle of an injury crisis. Kostas Mitroglou is the latest Benfica forward to pick up an injury and joins Jonas and Raul Jimenez in the treatment room. The Eagles will still be favorites in the group opener, especially after an impressive run all the way to the quarterfinals in last season’s competition.

Besiktas also come into this game on the back of a decent run of form. They are second only to Istanbul BB, but beat Karabukspor comfortably at the weekend. The Black Eagles won the Turkish Super Lig last season for the first time since 2008-09, and are making their first appearance at the Champions League group stage since 2009-10. Besiktas have never made it out of the group stages before, but this may be their best opportunity yet. The other two teams in the group are Napoli and Dynamo Kyiv — certainly not easy opponents, but beatable.

The Champions League match between Benfica and Besiktas will be broadcast online only. Live streaming is available on Fox Soccer 2GO and ESPN3, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscriptions, either online or through their mobile app.

Date: Tuesday, September 13

Benfica will be eager to get off to a fast start after last season’s deep run and should start well at home. The question is how they will cope with the loss of so many key attacking players.
