4. Wisconsin vs. Michigan State

The Michigan State Spartans did as they usually do in most cases last week and put their foot down a team’s playoff chances. By handing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish their second loss of the season, the Spartans have eliminated a potential threat to their chances of making the College Football Playoff.

This week, it’s time for the Spartans to try and eliminate another threat. The Wisconsin Badgers play in the Big Ten West, which is like comparing a kumquat to an autumn squash that is the Big Ten East. Essentially, the playoff committee is going to be a little more forgiving to a team in the East with a loss than a team in the West.

Therefore the Badgers are going to need to play a lot better than they did against Georgia State. The Spartans are going to look to deliver the knockout blow at home early and prove that they can compete with Ohio State and Michigan.

It’s hard to call a team like Michigan State a spoiler in college football when they’re a top 10 team in the country and made the playoff last year. Still, they somehow have two teams in the conference ranked ahead of them. Like an obnoxious guy standing outside your local cinema, they’re out to be full of spoilers yet again.
