Heisman Performance of the Week: Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight

Let’s be real. The runaway favorite to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy is Louisville Cardinals sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson. His September has been otherworldly for Louisville. He again destroyed his opponent with his arm and legs on Saturday against Marshall.

However, somebody else has to join him in New York City for the December presentation, right? Why couldn’t Texas A&M Aggies senior quarterback Trevor Knight be one of those guys to clap for Jackson when he wins the Heisman?

Knight had an outstanding Week 4 performance against a massive rival for Texas A&M in the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Aggies beat the Razorbacks, 45-24 thanks to a highlight-filled day from Knight at the Southwest Classic at AT&T Stadium.

The Aggies signal-caller completed 12-of-22 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, with 10.2 yards per attempt and a quarterback rating of 90.5. However, Knight did the bulk of his damage to the Razorbacks defense with his legs. He had 157 yards and two huge touchdowns on 10 carries. Knight makes the Aggies a dangerous team in the SEC in 2016.
