The Detroit Lions let Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers walk all over them Sunday. The Lions defense let the Packers score on each of their first six drives before forcing them to punt. Green Bay was up 31-10 at halftime and never looked back.
With no Ziggy Ansah or DeAndre Levy the Lions failed to force any turnovers. Not having Tavon Wilson, who left early with a neck injury, also put the defense in a bad spot.

The Lions did sack Aaron Rodgers twice, once by Haloti Ngata and another time by Kerry Hyder.

Nevin Lawson was charged with a 66-yard pass interference penalty against Trevor Davis in the second quarter when both their legs got tangled up on a deep pass from Rodgers. Green Bay was able to score a touchdown on the drive, adding more dirt to the Lions wound.

A major bright spot for Detroit was the emergence of Marvin Jones, who has clearly the Lions best receiver this season. Jones had over 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the second half of Sundays loss. Only his predecessor Calvin Johnson has ever had a 200 yard, multi-touchdown receiving day as a Detroit Lion.

Not having running back Ameer Abdullah for possibly the entire season scared many Lions fans. Rookie Dwayne Washington got 10 carries and averaged nearly four yards per attempt in limited action, but looked as if he could help ease the burden for Matthew Stafford.

The Lions will travel to Chicago to face the winless Bears next Sunday.
. 1-2.
