Injuries have decimated the San Diego Chargers offense already this season. San Diego has lost Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead, Brandon Oliver, and Steve Johnson to season ending injuries. Second year running back Melvin Gordon picked up the slack last week with two touchdowns, but could not get much yardage against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday. While he did finish with a one yard touchdown, Gordon was held to just 35 yards rushing on 16 attempts. <p>Injuries have also set in on the San Diego defense. Manti Te’o left with a left Achilles injury and is out for an undetermined amount of time. Te’o, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, was emotional after the game by all accounts. Te’o’s replacement, rookie Jatavis Brown, strip sacked Andrew Luck, leading to a Chargers touchdown.</p> <p>The Chargers now face the Saints next week in a Sunday afternoon showdown at home. Whoever loses could be all but done for in the playoff race. The Chargers are already two games behind the Denver Broncos and one game behind both the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders in the AFC West.</p>. 1-2. Previous: 24th.
