Celtic took the lead twice in their Champions League match against Manchester City, but it was 2-2 at the break.

It’s been a wild first half at Celtic Park. Some shambolic defending on both sides combined with deflected shots ending up in the net have resulted in four first half goals.

The run of play has been pretty even, with Celtic looking to strike on the counter, while Manchester City are looking a little out of sorts, struggling to possess the ball on the slick, wet pitch.

Below are the first half highlights, starting with Celtic’s first goal, their quickest ever in the Champions League. Moussa Dembele scores after making a good run at the back post, but upon further review, he looks to be offside.

The early lead was short-lived as Fernandinho takes advantage of a deflected shot and slips it in past Craig Gordon to  equalize for Manchester City.  It’s all tied up here at Celtic Park in the 11th min.

Celtic grab the lead right back in the 20th min off a great through ball from Rogic who finds left back Kieran Tierney open in the box. The youngsters cross is deflected by Raheem Sterling past Bravo at the near corner.

"A deflection off Raheem Sterling gives Celtic another lead! Decent game over on FS2… #UCLonFOX https://t.co/9jKPL90qwD— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) September 28, 2016"

Sterling avenges his own goal deflection with a great turn and low shot past the keeper following a beautiful through ball from David Silva.

"The best way to forget about an own goal? Score one at the other end. #UCLonFOX @sterling7 https://t.co/l4gvghozQw— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) September 28, 2016"

After four goals in the first 28 min, both teams head to the locker room looking to find the edge in the second half.
