Another weekend of college football is upon us, and it’ll be another weekend where a lot of folks from around the country will get to take in the astounding talents of Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey. Hopefully, though, things will go a little better for the junior speedster than they did last weekend.

Sure, the Cardinal were able to stay undefeated as they came away with the late victory, but McCaffrey didn’t perform like — well, Mccaffrey. He was kept out of the end zone by the UCLA defense and tallied just 138 yards on the ground and 13 receiving, which while those are good stats for a normal running back, they’re not what we expect out of McCaffrey by any means.

That’s ultimately all right, though, because he was still over 100 yards on the ground and he has one hell of a chance to redeem himself on the national stage this weekend. Friday night there is a huge showdown in the Pac-12 North as McCaffrey and the No. 7 Cardinal will go on the road to take on the No. 10 and also unbeaten Washington Huskies.

While Washington comes into the game at 4-0 and their defense isn’t to be considered terrible at all, they are yielding 195.5 yards per game on the ground, a statistic that has to make McCaffrey froth at the mouth when he sees it.

McCaffrey isn’t out of the running just yet, but he needs to turn into his usual self for viewers on the east coast when he has the chance.
