10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 6
Cameron Meredith-Chicago Bears
Last week in my WR sleepers, I had some options who struggled, but I also had a few that ended up with good games. One that came up huge was my “last Bear standing” pick of Cameron Meredith. Meredith was thrust into a starting role across from Alshon Jeffery who was playing through injury on Sunday, and the converted Illinois State QB turned in a career-best performance.
In the Bears’ week 5 loss, Meredith caught nine of the 12 passes thrown his way and finished with 130 yards and a touchdown. He had a brutal fumble late as the Bears were trying to get in position for a potential game-winning score, but he showed enough upside to overlook that for fantasy purposes.
With Kevin White done for the season and Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal banged up, Meredith is a great option from my WR sleepers for the second week in a row. Meredith has demonstrated a great connection with Brian Hoyer and has potential to be a great play against the Jaguars at Soldier Field today.
