5 reasons Alabama will repeat as national champions
1. And of course…Nick Saban is the coach
Finally, the No. 1 reason to pick the Crimson Tide to win the 2016 NCAA Football Championship is because of Nick Saban. Saban is the best coach in college football until proven otherwise.
Saban is easily the best coach of his generation, but he may be arguably the best of all time. The incredible coach is entering his ninth season at Alabama. During that time, he has finished first in the SEC-West six times. He has also won four national championships over that span.

Every college football team has questions going into a season and throughout the season. But with Saban captaining the ship, it always seems like those questions are answered. This year, like the past two, Saban started a new quarterback, yet his offense is arguably better than ever.
Saban is also joined by Lane Kiffin, who deserves quite a bit of credit. Kiffin is in his third season with Alabama and has made a noticeable impact on the offense. In 2014, Blake Sims set school passing records under Kiffin’s offense. In 2015, Jake Coker became a national championship quarterback under Kiffin’s offense.
Now, Kiffin has turned four-star recruit Jalen Hurts into a dynamic force on the offensive side of the ball. Kiffin also has arguably his best wide receiver group since making the move to Tuscaloosa.
