5 possible trade destinations for Alshon Jeffery
4. Buffalo Bills
The Bills have an injury-riddled group of wide receivers right now, with Sammy Watkins (foot) possibly out for the season and Robert Woods (foot), Marquise Goodwin (concussion) and Greg Salas (groin) struggling with more minor injuries.
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor was a successful deep ball thrower in 2015, finishing third in the league in air yards per attempt in his first year as a starter. He’s had similar big play success this season, and his mobility creates opportunities when plays break down.
The Bills have turned things around a bit after an 0-2 start, and sit at 4-3 with a chance to stay in the AFC playoff picture. Head coach Rex Ryan may or may not be on the hot seat in a “playoffs or bust” season, but adding Jeffery would add reinforcement to an injured group of wide receivers while obviously giving Taylor a legit No. 1 wide receiver in Watkins’ absence.
On the off-chance Watkins is able to return late in the season, he and Jeffery would form an enviable 1-2 wide receiver combination for the Bills. Even if the running game will be the driving force for Buffalo’s offense, while making the defense better, adding a passing game weapon would be a great move. Jeffery could be at the top of Buffalo’s list of trade targets.
