Thunder at 76ers live stream: How to watch online
A look at how to watch Wednesday’s game between the Thunder and 76ers online.
On Wednesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers will go head to head in their respective season openers. This game will take place in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center.
The focus of this will be on the Thunder, who will not have Kevin Durant on their roster for the first time in about a decade. He left to join the Golden State Warriors in free agency, so it’s now Russell Westbrook’s team. He’ll get a full season as the top guy in Oklahoma City and will be working with multiple new pieces. This includes former Magic star Victor Oladipo and rookie Domantas Sabonis.
The 2016 Western Conference runner-ups will be intriguing to watch to see how they play without Durant and who steps up in his absence. Could that be as soon as Wednesday night?
Ben Simmons should have been playing in the season opener, but suffered a Jones fracture in his foot, and will miss significant time. It’s yet another season that a 76ers draft pick has had to miss time to open the season. Nerlens Noel sat out his entire rookie year with a knee injury and Joel Embiid lost his first two seasons due to foot problems. It’s an unfortunate situation for the Sixers, who may once again be lingering at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
However, regarding Wednesday night, we’ll finally be able to see Embiid in action. It may be in limited minutes, but he’ll be a sight for sore eyes.
