High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,800): Davis and the Pelicans are still looking for their first win of the season after starting 0-7. They lost by just one point to Phoenix over the weekend but fell by 10 last night in Golden State. Tonight, they’ll take on the Kings in Sacramento on the second night of back-to-back games. The schedule has been the only thing that has been able to slow down Anthony Davis so far this season as the big man has at least 47 fantasy points in every game but the two games which have fallen on the second night of back-to-back contests. In those two games, he has struggled to just 24.9 and 29 fantasy points.

While many will avoid Davis as a result of those numbers, it might be a good time to grab him with a low ownership  as he takes on the Kings who are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing PF.  Davis averaged 27.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in three games against the Kings last season posting double-doubles in each contest. Given the other options at PF, Davis has a lot of upside to ignore if you decide to go a different direction.

Paul Millsap-Altanta Hawks (8,000):  If you do decide to go elsewhere with your big money tonight, check out Paul Millsap who had his own 50-fantasy-point game on Saturday against the Rockets when he had 23 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and five steals. He has multiple steals in each of his last four games and had three games with over 45 fantasy points in his six contests so far this season. he Cavs have done pretty well at shutting down opposing PF so far this season but Millsap always seems to have good games against them as evidenced by his averages in there games against them last season–17.3 points, 10.3 rebounds 3.7 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals.  ∗∗

Julius Randle-Los Angeles Lakers (6,300): Randle has posted over 30 fantasy points in three of his last five games including each of his last two contests. he had 18 points, five  rebounds, and four assists in just 28 minutes on Sunday for 31 fantasy points after a 20-14 double-double on Friday in LA’s upset of the Warriors. Randle doesn’t have the sky-high upside of Millsap or Davis, but he’s a solid investmetn at only a little over 6K in good matchup against the Dirk-less Mavericks.∗∗
