High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (11,300): Westbrook always has the potential to be the most prolific fantasy-point producer in any given matchup. However, his hefty price tag makes it necessary he goes huge just to return regular value. Westbrook has over 54 fantasy points in two of his last three games, but he’s in a tough matchup tonight against Chris Paul. He did have 51 fantasy points against CP3 earlier this year, but it’s tricky to spend this much at one spot with so many great options elsewhere.∗∗

Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (8,900): Of all the high-priced PG, I like CP3 the most tonight as he takes on Westbrook and the Thunder. Paul has played under 30 minutes in each of his last three games due to blowouts but has still managed at least 37 fantasy points in each of his last six contests. The last time he played his full minutes was against Memphis when he had 27 points, 11 assists, and six steals for 66 fantasy points. He was just one assist short of a triple-double when he played the Thunder earlier this season and added six assists to get to 54.25 fantasy points. He should be well-rested and tongiht’s game should be close, so look for CP3 to put up big fantasy points while costing a lot less than Westbrook.∗∗∗∗

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,700): Lillard and the Blazers are in the late game tonight as they host the Kings. They just faced CP3 and the Clippers and Lillard ended up with just 7.7 fantasy points. Most of that was due to the schedule which had them play the Clippers in LA the night after a hard fought game against the Suns in Portland. Lillard had 44.5 fantasy points in that contest and over 40 fantasy points in six of his previous nine games. He should bounce back just fine tonight against the Kings who are on their own back-to-back after losing ot the Lakers last night. ∗∗

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (7,500): The Raptors are in Charlotte facing the Hornets who currently sit tied atop the Eastern Conference standings with a 6-1 record. Lowry will have to shut down Kemba Walker, but Lowry and DeRozan have appeared to be on a mission all season to erase last year’s playoff disappearances. Lowry has been especially good in his last few games posting 44 and 53.25 fantasy points against the Kings and Thunder. He had over 40 fantasy points in both of those games based on double-doubles with solid rebounds as well. Lowry logs a ton of minutes (over 39 in each of his last three), so look for him to play lots of time and turn in lots of fantasy points from his price under 8K. ∗∗∗

Jeff Teague-Indiana Pacers (6,700): No team on the floor tonight in the NBA is giving up more fantasy points per game to opposing PG than the 76ers. The PG in that tasty matchup is Jeff Teague who looks like he’s finally settling in to his new home with the Pacers. Teague had a huge night on Wednesday against Philadelphia setting season-highs with 30 points, nine assists, and 52 fantasy points. He’ll take on the Sixers again tonight and is almost a must-own given his recent run of success with over 33 fantasy points in three of his last four games. ∗∗∗∗∗
