High Value PG

Rajon Rondo-Chicago Bulls (5,700): Rondo is coming off his best game with the Bulls as he comes home tonight to face the Wizards. On Thursday, he posted 12 rebounds, six assists, and 16 points for a season-high 42.4 fantasy points against the Heat. Washington has been very good against opposing PG so far this season, but they won’t have John Wall tonight which could allow Rondo to step up with another multi-category performance.∗∗

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (5,700): One of my most used FanDuel daily picks so far this season as a value PG has been Tim Frazier of the Pelicans who is still filling in for Jrue Holiday.  Frazier has cooled off from his torrid run to start the season, but he does have over 32 fantasy points in two of his last three games. In each of those two games, he had a double-double with ten assists. He helped the Pelicans to their first win of the season on Thursday in Milwaukee with 15 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds for 36 fantasy points. He’s in a favorable matchup tonight at home against the Lakers, so go with him as your top pick if you have to spend under 6K.

Ish Smith-Detroit Pistons (5,400): Smith had a solid but not spectacular 12-4-4- stat line last night in San Antonio for 21.8 fantasy points. He has over to fantasy points in five of his last six games including two games with over 30 fantasy points. Tonight, he could reach that mark again since he and the Pistons are in Denver where they’ll face the Nuggets who are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing PG. Smith can give you nice multi-category lines and continues to be a good midrange play for as long as he fills in for Reggie Jackson. ∗∗

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (4,900): Smart has been pretty consistent for the Celtics this season and stepped up big when given the chance to start last night against New York. Smart has at least 21 fantasy points in four straight games and had an impressive 39.2 fantasy points in his start last night. He had just 12 points but supplemented that with ten assists, six rebounds, and three steals. Against the running Pacers who just lost to Philadelphia in overtime, Smart should be a good investment of the second day in a row ∗∗∗

Yogi Ferrell-Brooklyn Nets (3,500): If you’re searchignf or a flier in the PG bargain bin tonight, check out Yogi Ferrell who is one of the last men standing at PG for the Nets. He and Randy Foye will play the point tonight in Phoenix with Jeremy Lin and Isaiah Whitehead still sidelined and Greivis Vasquez no longer wit the team. Ferrell played 14 minutes in his NBA debut on Wednesday and had five points, three assists, a rebound, and a steal for 9.7 fantasy points. The Suns are allowing ht second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG, so if Ferrell gets 20+ minutes he could be a steal at the minimum.
