High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (11,500): Westbrook is tied with Harden for the most expensive play tonight, and watching the two go head-to-head should be a ton of fun tonight. Westbrook and the Thunder are back at home where they lost to one former-Thunder player, Serge Ibaka, and the Magic on Sunday. In that game, Westbrook explded for 77.4 fantasy points on 41 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds. He has at least 52 fantasy points in four straight, and the Thunder have a day off tomorrow while Houston has to turn around and play again. Since he’s at home and not in a back-to-back, I’d give him a slight edge over Harden if you decide to go with just one of the star guards tonight.

Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (9,300): The Clippers have been blowing everyone out leading to reduced minutes for Chris Paul and their other stars. While that’s great for their long-term outlook, it does hurt their DFS value. Tonight, though, they get a tough matchup with the scrappy Grizzlies who they faced two weeks ago on 11/4. In that game, Paul had a season-high 63.3 fantasy points on 27 points, 11 assist, and six steals. If the game stays close tonight, getting Paul at this price playing as well as he has been playing this season will look like a great deal since he’s more than 2K less than Westbrook. ∗∗

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,000): Lowry played 40 minutes in last night’s loss to the Cavs in Cleveland, so there’s high-risk in rolling with him tonight as he plays the running Warriors. The game could get out of hand early, but if the Raps can stay in the game Lowry is actually quite the bargain at this price. He went off last night for 54.5 fantasy points giving him 40+ fantasy points infer of his last five games. Golden State is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing PG, so Lowry has huge upside tonight as long as the game doesn’t get one-sided.

Eric Bledsoe-Phoaneix Suns (7,500): Bledsoe is also in a great matchup as he faces the Nuggets who are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing PG. Bledsoe and the Suns have scuffled to start the season, but lately Bledsoe has picked it up a bit with at least 31 fantasy points in four straight including a near triple-double against the Pistons which netted him 41.2 fantasy points. In a good matchup tonight, he should be in attack mode most of the night and look to carry the Suns to a win in Denver.

Jeff Teague-Indiana Pacers (6,300): Teague and he Pacers catch the Cavs on a back-to-back after they beat the Raptors in a close game last night. It could set him up for another solid game since he seems to be settling in to his new role in Indiana. Teague had 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and a steal for 35.1 fantasy points against the Magic on Monday and had a 50+ fantasy point game last week against the Sixers. He’s a little boom-or-bust, but he and the Pacers will try to use their up-tempo attack to run over the possibly weary Cavaliers.
