High Value PG

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (5,700): Smart missed the very beginning of the season with an ankle injury, but he has been steady since his return and has at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six games including over 32 in two of his last three since joining Boston’s starting lineup. He had 32.7 fantasy points on Monday in the Celtics loss to New Orleans playing 37 minutes and totaling 15 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Smart could take ver more of the offense with Isaiah Thomas hurting, but he contiues to contribute in so many catgeories that he’s a pretty solid low-risk play even though he doesn’t have ultra-high upside.

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (5,400): Frazier’s time int he staring lineup (and probably my FanDuel daily picks) is quickly running out with Jrue Holiday nearing a return. He gets a good matchup against the Magic, and he makes sense as a mid-range play once again. Frazier has at least 21 fantasy points in four of his last five games including a pair over 32 fantasy points. He should be near a double-double with points and assists tonight and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get to 30 fantasy points against the Magic’s bad PG defense.

Jamal Murray-Denver Nuggets (3,700): The Nuggets are going to get a long look at rookie Jamal Murray with the news that Gary Harris will miss the next few weeks and coach Mike Malone’s publicly stated displeasure with starting PG Emmanuel Mudiay’s play lately. Murray has been showing good signs lastly with at least nine points in five of his last six games and a pairo of games with over 20 fantasy points in his last three. He had a career-high 19 points against the Blazers on Sunday, and he should get lots of run tonight in a great matchup against the backcourt of the Suns which has been one of the most generous to opposing PG and SG all season.∗∗∗∗
