NFL Mock Draft: Deshaun Watson falling

There are plenty of solid cornerbacks to choose from in the 2017 NFL Draft, though few are better than Florida’s Teez Tabor. An incredible cover corner, Tabor has caused fits for SEC quarterbacks during his time with the Gators, and has the perfect size to play at the next level. The New Orleans Saints are a team that is very suspect in the secondary, and they need to add to their depth back there in April.

Tabor has teamed with Quincy Wilson to form the best cornerback tandem in college football. Once playing in the shadow of former Gators cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, Tabor has emerged as one of the top-2 corners in the game. Hargreaves was taken No. 11 overall in last year’s draft, and Tabor should go around the same selection in 2017.

New Orleans only has a few more good years with Drew Brees, who has become a record-setting quarterback ever since he came over from the San Diego Chargers. However, the defense continues to hold the team back, and they play in a division with some quality signal-callers. Adding Tabor to the defense would give them the kind of competitive cornerback that will go up and make plays, which is something that has been missing in the Bayou for some time.
