High Salary PG

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,600): Lillard has started the season strong and is averaging 44.7 fantasy points per contest through his first dozen games. He only had 32.25 fantasy points on Tuesday against Chicago, but had over 45 in three of his previous four games. Normally a matchup against the Rockets would be a matchup to attack, but don’t forget that there’s a good chance that Patrick Beverley returns tonight for Houston. Beverley is expected to jump right back into the lineup and is an excellent defender. If he focuses on shutting down Dame, it could be a tougher matchup than it initially looks like. Still, Lillard is the top PG to target tonight if you have this kind of salary to spend at the spot. He may not return full value on a points-per-dollar basis, but he will definitely give you some solid points total.

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (8,900): I loved Antetokounmpo in last night’s matchup in yesterday’s DraftKings daily picks and he rose to the occasion with 60.75 fantasy points in 40 minutes in Milwaukee’s road loss to Atlanta. He finished with 26-15-7 (points-rebounds-assists) while also adding multiple blocks for the eighth time in his last nine games. The do-it-all point forward will take on the banged-up Heat backcourt to finish hsi back-to-back tonight. The only caution to take note of with “The Alphabet” is that he did log a season-high 40 minutes last night so fatigue may be a bit of a factor although heh did have three days off before last night’s contest. ∗∗∗

Ricky Rubio-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,300): Rubio has posted over 33 fantasy points in his last two games and looks to be recovered from an elbow injury that cost him five games earlier this month. He had 10-4-10 for 37 fantasy points against the Lakers on Sunday and 11-8-8 on Tuesday against Charlotte for 34 fantasy points. Tonight, he and the Wolves take on the 76ers who are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG, and it’s a matchup I really like for the Spanish PG tonight as he goes head-to-head with fellow-countryman Sergio Rodriguez. ∗∗∗∗
